The University of Essex is the data controller for this website and its mailing list. Day-to-day responsibility sits with Dr Chris McManus, Dr Ben Jones, Prof Chris Cooper. Contact: musclenirs@gmail.com.

What this site collects

Browsing this site collects nothing. It sets no cookies, runs no analytics and carries no advertising.

The mailing list

If you subscribe, we store the email address you give us, and your first name if you provide one, for the sole purpose of sending the mNIRS newsletter. The list is held by Kit, our email provider, who process it on our behalf and do not use it for anything else.

The lawful basis is your consent, given when you subscribe. You can withdraw it at any time using the unsubscribe link in any message, or by emailing us. We remove unsubscribed addresses rather than keeping a suppression list indefinitely, and we review the list periodically to remove addresses that have been inactive for three years.

Your rights

You have the right to ask what we hold about you, to have it corrected or deleted, and to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office. Email us first and we will sort it out.
