New tool added: MCMITO
The new Tools page opens with MCMITO, a desktop application that imports raw NIRS recordings from repeated arterial occlusion protocols and delivers the key metrics of muscle oxidative capacity within minutes: resting muscle oxygen consumption (mV̇O₂), the recovery rate constant (k) and the time constant (τ). Occlusions are detected automatically with a confidence score you can accept or adjust, the exercise stimulus before each occlusion set is quantified, and the analysis adapts to a range of protocol designs. Every slope and fit stays visible and exports to Excel and PDF.
MCMITO is free of charge for research and educational use, runs on Windows, and reads Artinis Oxysoft and Train.Red exports. It is archived on Zenodo (DOI 10.5281/zenodo.22329660). Details, download and citation are on the Tools page.
